Rene Dunnagan is a licensed Colorado real estate professional with over a decade of experience managing and consulting across diverse property portfolios in both California and Colorado. Her background spans homeowners’ associations, residential and mixed-use communities, mortgage lending, and investment acquisitions — giving her a rare, 360-degree understanding of property operations and ownership.
Rene began her career in California, managing a portfolio of 19 homeowners’ associations, including high-end residential-over-retail communities. Her work included strategic budgeting, board advisement, vendor management, and community development across mixed-use and coastal assets.
After relocating to Colorado, Rene managed a portfolio of 10 HOAs, representing condo conversions, single-family associations, and multi-unit condominiums. Her deep understanding of governance, maintenance planning, and owner relations helped stabilize operations and increase homeowner satisfaction.
In addition to property management, Rene worked in mortgage lending, gaining valuable insight into underwriting, financing structures, and investor qualification processes. This experience further strengthened her ability to guide property owners and investors in making informed financial decisions.
In 2024, Rene partnered directly with a Property Management firm in California as a fractional operations manager, working side-by-side in the office to modernize systems, improve marketing, streamline communication, and increase profitability. This hands-on experience reinforced her commitment to helping small property management companies and independent landlords operate efficiently, transparently, and profitably.
Rene also worked with a boutique Real Estate Brokerage, collaborating with owners and operators to acquire and lease residential assisted living and group home properties using creative financing and lease-option strategies. This experience expanded her expertise in specialized housing, compliance, commercial real estate business due diligence, and investment structuring.
Today, Rene is focused on advancing her mission to support and unify small landlords and independent property owners, giving them a collective voice in the laws and policies that affect their investments. She leverages her operational expertise, community leadership, and investor training to build sustainable housing solutions and create opportunities for education, advocacy, and financial growth across Colorado and beyond.
